Refund Policy
Try our hosting risk-free. Here is exactly what is refundable, what isn't, and how to ask.
0130-day money-back guarantee on hosting
Every new cloud hosting plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If our hosting isn't right for you, cancel within 30 days of the initial order and we will refund the hosting fees you paid for that plan in full. The guarantee applies to a customer's first order of a given plan; it does not apply to renewals, plan transfers between your own accounts, or accounts terminated for violating the Acceptable Use Policy.
02Non-refundable items
- Domain registrations, renewals, transfers and redemption fees — once submitted to the registry these are committed on your behalf and cannot be reversed. The domain remains yours for its full term, including a "lifetime free domain" granted with a hosting plan, which stays registered to you for its current term even if the hosting is refunded.
- Web design and development services — quoted per project; amounts covering work already performed are non-refundable. Cancellation mid-project is settled pro-rata against the project quote.
- Renewal invoices — renewals are not covered by the money-back guarantee. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel the service in the client area before its due date.
- Third-party licences, setup or administrative fees identified as non-refundable at checkout.
03How to request a refund
- Open a support ticket from the account that placed the order, or email support@gotka.com, stating the service and the reason (feedback helps us improve — it doesn't affect eligibility).
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–14 business days of approval. Where a payment method cannot receive refunds, we will credit your client-area account instead.
- Refunds are made in the currency originally charged; we are not responsible for exchange-rate differences or fees applied by your bank.
04Cancelling a service
You can cancel any service at any time from the client area, choosing immediate cancellation or end-of-billing-period. Cancelling stops future invoices; it does not by itself trigger a refund outside the 30-day guarantee. Remember to download your files, databases and email first — data is permanently deleted within 14 days of termination, as described in the Terms of Service.
05Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first — genuine billing mistakes are corrected quickly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us may result in suspension of the associated services while the dispute is investigated, and a service may only be reinstated once the balance is settled.
06Our discretion, your statutory rights
We may make refunds outside this policy in genuinely exceptional circumstances, at our discretion. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under Malaysian consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
